Vendee Villas

On the west coast of France are the two villas Weekend (sleeps 8 in 3 bedrooms) and Manani (Sleeps 6 in 2 bedrooms).

They are situated just off the coast road in a small village called La Griere, which is across the bay from the large coastal town of La Tranche. Set back to back in their own gardens, they are only 300m from a beautiful sandy beach, 100m from the village of La Griere.

ACCOMMODATION

Both villas have fully equipped kitchens with washing machine, cooker, microwave and fridge/freezer. Living room with TV. Cots and highchairs provided. Both have garden furniture, barbecue and two parking spaces.

Manani

Recently refurbished, the smaller of the two villas, which has a living room/dining room with television that leads to a separate kitchen.

Two bedrooms both with a double and single bed. Shower room with washbasin and WC.

Weekend

Two double bedrooms with washbasin, third bedroom with 2 sets of bunks. Large shower room. Separate WC. Small conservatory.

OUTSIDE

Both villas have large enclosed sand gardens complete with patio furniture & BBQ.  Parking is available for 2 cars.

LOCATIONIt is an ideal family resort in the sunniest and southern most part of the Vendee, with 12 kms of south facing gently sloping sandy beaches. It is a great favourite as a centre for sailing and windsurfing as well as having a surf beach 5 kms to the north of Les Conches. 

In La Griere you can hire bikes, play tennis or mini golf, as well as many other activities.

The Vendee is an area of coastline that the French are proud, being a constant recipient of the EC Blue Ribbon Award for cleanliness.

The Villas are less than 1 hours drive to the north of La Rochelle, an ancient port steeped in history, that is certainly worthy of a day's excursion. 

In an area renowned for its holiday villas. The tall pine trees in the surrounding area ensure that each villa has its own private space.

 

DIRECTIONS TO VILLAS

 

FROM CHERBOURG/ST MALO: Take the route to Rennes, Nantes, La Roche sur Yon to La Tranche.

FROM LE MANS: Continue on the A11 to Angers. Follow signs to Cholet and then La Roche sur Yon, La Tranche.

LOCAL DIRECTIONS: As you arrive at the 1st roundabout go straight over to a 2nd roundabout just outside La Tranche turn left signposted La Griere and L’Aiguillon. After 1km in the shops of La Griere look on the right for the Avenue de l’Ocean, it is the 2nd parallel road opposite the shops (Manani No 21) and the 3rd parallel road on the right is Avenue de Nolleaux (Weekend on the right 50 metres).
